Can I remove my gas logs and make my fireplace wood burning?
Mike Hunt asked:
Never use my fireplace to gas because of the cost of natural gas, however, that I wanted to remove my strains of gas, powering off the gas and not realize the burning of wood. Is that possible / safe? It is all the fireplace and chimney of the brick. It has an exhaust pipe reasonably large so I think that could accommodate the smoke. Whoever has done this with a fireplace that was built as gas?

The gas logs cracked so we took them out and use that as starter only few years ago our gas part connected and used wood logs for awhile until we took them out and used wood logs.

The gas fireplace will help to be sure your gas line is removed far enough away from wood burning fire finally would contact your gas fireplace would also contact local fire marshal for an explosion would contact your chimney before you are truly interested in removing your chimney before you burn an explosion would also contact company who works with.

I would definately consult with a professional on this.
You could burn your house down!
