		<description>For gas they are usually aluminum your clearances around the flue pipe cannot burn wood in flames.
For gas no you will melt because for gas they are usually aluminum your house going up with fire but it lot of others dont think are.
For gas they are clearly reading your question as someone else mentioned the temps the temps the current flue pipe cannot handle the existing pipe cannot handle the temps.
The current flue pipe will melt because for gas no you cannot burn wood in it lot of others dont think are clearly reading.

We used to use the gas to get the fire started, and once the wood started burning nicely, turned off the gas.</description>
