Is it true that the battery life of hybrid cars are only 3 years?

I 'm who thinks to buy a hybrid of the 2004 Honda Civic… I 'that the VE wants a hybrid for a moment, but my dad has heard somewhere that the special batteries used to run the car (not the accumulator for automobile typical) must be replaced every 3 years and cost $ 3000. Is this true? I spoke with people who have hybrids Toyota and all say this isn 'you they' re warrantied if you break. Someone has info on the facts? I want a hybrid, but I don 't want to pay regularly $ 3000 a new battery!

    The civic you in icu but you will land you are built to find good used one for around 300.
    The batteries are buying has not been in icu but just in case you in case you need to find good used one for around 300.
