In terms of economy (micro). "My car can use gasoline or gasohol (A & mis of methanol, gasoline), so use what guel has the lowest price per gallon." This is a good rule for the decision which type of fuel use in a car? Build a rule that is consistent with economic logic.

what you should minimize is cost per mile travelled, i.e price per gallon divided by miles per gallon.
