Methanol is the simplest alcohol you can make. It’s chemical formula is CH3OH, the substance is known also as methyl alcohol or wood alcohol. It’s light, colourless, volatile, flammable and highly toxic! Commonly used as an antifreeze solvent (for windscreen wiper fluid), solvent, substrate for biodiesel production.
