Is MickeyD’s UK stealing from oil company CEO salaries?

waste vegetable oil fuel
ervin_parker asked:

McDonald 's, known primarily as a smiling clown diabolical while the world ingrassa more fat and now is actually doing something productive with all those fat kilojoules. The company is planning on its entire fleet of trucks with biodiesel BRITISH generated from its own vegetable oil residue. In the next 12 months, McDonald 's designs on the generation dell'abbastanza fuel to power its 155 delivery vehicles and supplies is enough left over to sell in the public market. The fuel will consist of oil seed rape crop residue of 85% and 15% virgin. Thus, while neutral person will be 100% carbon, it won 't is the residual oil entirely. However, Matthew Howe, VP greater than McDonald 's United Kingdom was cited that says "As we get better the improvement that we can remove violence from virgin process," a line that frankly we do not ever get taken by context. http://green.yahoo.com/index.php?q=node/765 Like Al Gore hears challenge and actually do something about envirnoment. Don 't know everything that' s the important thing is PROFIT!

Switching Jetta TDI to dual fuel?

waste vegetable oil fuel
Gary H asked:

If I add a second fuel tank just for remaining vegetable oil (WVO) and me a line away from that tank led to the current diesel fuel (A solenoid with a two-way solenoid), I need a fuel pump dedicated to the WVO or aspiration will be enough to fuel the engine? Calculating that it would be easy to put a demijohn Nalgene in the trunk, run by the copper pipe led to the current fuel under the car and install a good two-way valve. This would allow me to run WVO once the engine gets "the switch and heated," on the fly;. Also reduce the chance that I 'd get aground somewhere whether it has problems with the WVO. canceling the pump while diesel fuel is running is a problem?

Do you have to pay tax on recycled vegetable oil for fuel? (UK)?

waste vegetable oil fuel
onlyme asked:

Realize that you have to pay tax (VAT) on vegetable oil that you intend to use as fuel – which is quite properly. As I don 't think its fair that you have to pay a tax on vegetable oil that you bought as a food (VAT) as food and then recycled through using it as fuel to save on oil residue? The law states that you must pay the tax on vegetable oil if it is recycled or not? In an effort to help the environment would have thought that the government do more. I don 't get taxed when I walked to work rather than drive electric cars and don' t get it taxed one or the other

Vegetable oil as Diesel fuel? (not biodiesel)?

waste vegetable oil fuel
Nick C asked:

I 'm who does not speak of plant residue or biodiesel. I 'm speaking of right plant, or pure vegetable oil. On the same stuff that restaurants buy to cook with, but buy yourself before the dirty and over. 50 cents a gallon is typical and will operate in all diesel once on heated (requires a system of two tanks with regular diesel # 2 to start cold.) I have sought the use of WVO (vegetable oil residue) and can be offensive if not filtered well. The biodiesel costs the same as the diesel in my area (Phoenix AZ). That is why SVO (vegetable oil law) is a better choice. Anyone who has actually done this? Not theoretically, but really, can this really be done and it has cost effective for a company with a fleet of domestic service of the 5 trucks? We spend $ 6000 per month on fuel so cheap sounds of what fuels the commodity to be true.

I have a scarab of VW diesel 2003 and I'm thinking of doing this. Can anyone really did convert a vehicle to offer the advice on this? How difficult is to get the oil? For example, communicating a road journey of 1,000 miles would be unacceptable? What is the cost of conversion? How do these systems are feeding the fuel in cold weather. I 'm As in Pennsylvania

Can you MIX waste motor oil and vegetable oil? Will they work in diesel engines if mixed together?

waste vegetable oil fuel
judy g asked:

We do not have access to enough vegetable oil to provide all the fuel we need. We can get the engine oil residue. You can mix the two oils and make them work in diesel engines? We also thin with biodiesel. The resulting rubber mixture will increase?
